Nigerian goalkeeper Yakubu Mathew welcomes a pair of twins on the eve of the new year.

Prior to the much-awaited new year, Super Eagles goalie Mathew Yakubu scored a “fantastic goal.”

The goalie announced earlier today that he and his wife had had a set of twins earlier in the day on his social media pages.

He wrote: ”Truly blessed, God be praised and welcome to the family”

As to be expected, there has been a deluge of congratulations from friends and admirers, notably from Moses Simon of the Super Eagles and Nantes as well as a number of Nigerian internationals.

23-year-old Mathew Yakubu began his professional football career with Clique Sports Academy, a Nigerian team. He was born on March 9, 1999.

After a significant development, Mathew Yakubu traveled to Slovakia where he joined forces with the country’s biggest team, “KF Sere.”

On July 11, 2020, against ViOn Zlaté Moravce, the highly regarded safe-hands Yakubu Mathew made his Fortuna Liga debut for iClinic Sere. András Mészáros scored the only goal of the game against him.
