Many escape death as truck crashes in Bauchi after driver fell asleep

When a trailer carrying ginger veered off the road and overturned in Bauchi State, spilling its cargo, many individuals narrowly avoided death.

The incident happened on January 12, 2023, at Nahuta in the state’s Darazo Local Government Area.

According to Mu’azu Hardawa, an eyewitness, the truck driver apparently dozed off while operating the vehicle.

“I learnt that the driver slept off while driving and he lost control,” he said. .

He said that the trailer took off with its content from Kafancan in Kaduna State and was heading to Maiduguri, Borno State.

“No death or serious injury was recorded during the accident.” he added.
