Man stabs football coach to death over suspicion of having affair with his wife

Shem Wisdom, a 37-year-old man, has been detained in Malawi on suspicion of killing Gift Kalibeti by stabbing him to death while having a sexual relationship with his wife.

The Mulanje District Hospital employee and football team coach Kalibeti has been charged with having an affair with Wisdom’s wife.

The communications from Kalibeti might be located on Wisdom’s wife’s phone. Then he instructed Kalibeti through message to meet him at his home.

Kalibeti, a married man with children, went to the residence believing that Wisdom’s wife had invited him.

However, Wisdom, who supposedly killed him with a knife, welcomed him.

Mulanje Police spokesperson, Sergeant Innocent Moses, who confirmed the incident to journalists on Thursday, January 5, said that they have arrested the suspect.

Sergeant Moses says Wisdom will answer a murder charge.
