Ibrahim Ousmanou, a man, has been charged with burning his 10-year-old son’s hands in Bassara, a town in the Mayo-Tsanaga Division, Far-North region of Cameroon, for allegedly stealing FCFA 70,000.
A young boy’s hands were burned in terrible photographs that have been circulating on social media, and furious Cameroonians are calling for the father’s execution.
The victim, Aboubakary Ibrahim, a second-grader at government school Bassara, was accused of stealing FCFA 70,000 by his father.
The youngster allegedly spent 30 days locked up in a room where he was tormented and had his hands burned until all of his digits vanished.
It was gathered that the suspect has been arrested after an anonymous tip-off and is currently in police custody.
