Lady shares experience with sales rep who undercharged her

A Nigerian woman, @priye_tanya, described a touching experience after detecting a payment issue in a retailer. She purchased an item valued ₦56,000 but was charged only ₦5,600.

After realising her mistake, she returned to the store, prepared to pay the difference plus her transportation charge of ₦3,000.

Upon arriving, the sales representative was met with rage from her supervisor, who insisted on deducting the error from her compensation.

When the young employee saw Tanya, he shouted, “Thank you, Jesus!” with visible anxiety and regret.

Tanya was moved by the occasion and denied her transportation cost in favour of a soft drink, showing an act of empathy and forgiveness that has resonated with many people online.

This morning, I went out to buy something worth 56k and paid with my card.

When I got home, something in my spirit told me to check my account just to be sure they didn’t charge me wrongly. When I checked, I realized the sales rep removed 5,600 instead of 56,000.

That meant I had to spend another 3k on transport to go back. I had already made up my mind that I would collect my transport fare.

When I got there, her boss was shouting that the money would be deducted from her salary. The sales rep just stood there,she wasn’t crying, but i could see fear and regret on her face.
Immediately she saw me, she shouted, “Thank you, Jesus!”…

I couldn’t bring myself to collect the transport fare again, even though she offered. She insisted on giving me a soft drink instead”
