Kiddwaya responds to Costa Titch’s passing by saying, “We’ve got to do more to protect artistes, a lot of them are taking drugs.”

The death of South African Amapiano musician Costa Titch has prompted a response from reality TV personality Terseer Waya, also known as Kiddwaya.

Recall that today at the Ultra music performance at the Expo Centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg, the 27-year-old apparently suffered a seizure and passed out on stage.

Kiddwaya created a video in which he expressed his sadness over the singer’s passing and urged the artist’s management to treat their signees with more respect.

He claimed that many performers turned to drugs to help them cope with the pressure they faced as entertainers and that it was the responsibility of their businesses to guarantee that their health was in tip-top shape.

He recommended that they conduct routine blood and mental health exams and issue refunds if the artist was not in the best possible physical or mental condition to perform.

He uploaded the footage on his Instagram account and wrote:

“COSTA!!! what happened was extremely sad and avoidable!!! THIS IS A MESSAGE TO EVERYBODY BEHIND THE SCENES. SHARE/REPOST THIS SO EVERYBODY WHO NEEDS TO HEAR WILL HEAR.   RIP”
