A 37-year-old South African woman, Zukiswa Joyi, has celebrated a major milestone after getting married following years of publicly documenting her commitment to $3xual purity.
Joyi, who has openly shared her journey of abstinence and virginity over the years, got married in a church ceremony on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Her Lobola ceremony, a traditional marriage process, was held earlier in March.
Following her wedding, Joyi took to Facebook to express her gratitude to God for sustaining her throughout the years, particularly during moments when she felt discouraged and weary.
She described the experience as a long wait that ultimately proved worthwhile.
“Hitched for life. Jesus has done this. Answered Prayer. He truly Honors those who honor him. The wait was all worth it,” she wrote.
Reflecting further on her journey, Joyi said she experienced moments of weariness but credited her faith for giving her the strength to remain committed to her decision.
“I felt weary, but he strengthened me. Got married a virgin at the age of 37, it’s only possible because of the Spirit of God, but it’s possible.
“Virginity is possible, purity is possible We don’t have to accept the Lie of the enemy. The same grace that restores one when they fall is the same grace that can redeem one from falling Lord we are grateful.#OfficiallyMrsJili#OfficiallyAWife
Her testimony has drawn attention online, particularly among people who have followed her public journey of sexual purity and her determination to remain committed to her convictions until marriage.
