Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Lagos state, was reportedly ejected from the Kosofe fruit market.

Before the election, Funke Akindele went to the Kosofe fruit market to campaign, but many hoodlums harassed and forced her to leave.

During a meeting with the chief Imam of Ketu Central Mosque, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, commonly known as Jandor, the PDP’s candidate for governor, commented on the incident that happened yesterday.

He denounced the attack and disclosed that a member of his security team had been stabbed, along with other victims who included journalists.

He said;

“What is happening we do not want it again. It is not good for democracy, but despite the attacks, we are moving and still motivated to rescue our people.
I know it is only God that can give and take, if God gives you no one can take.”
