I’ve never had an abortion, it was bants. Naija star Phyna turns around

The outrage that followed the announcement, however, caused Phyna to retract her initial claim that she had two abortions.

The winner of Big Brother Naija’s seventh season, Phyna, has refuted her previous assertion that she had aborted two pregnancies.

The reality TV actress recently made headlines when she admitted to having two abortions, one at the age of 19 and the other at 24.

In an interview with Punch, she gave an explanation of her decision to terminate the pregnancies, stating that she did so because she was too young to notify her parents about the first pregnancy, which she had at the age of 19.

She continued by saying that she had an abortion of the second pregnancy at the age of 24 because she didn’t want to have a kid with her poisonous and physically abusive ex-boyfriend.

“As for my reasons for taking abortion pills, if there are 100 women in Nigeria today, 98 have done abortions. So, no one should judge me. I was in a 12-year relationship then and I was so young. The first abortion was when I was 19; I couldn’t go home to tell my parents that I was pregnant at that age. And the two pregnancies were so early like two to three weeks that I could just use tablets.” She said .

The outrage that followed the announcement, however, caused Phyna to retract her initial claim that she had two abortions.

She claimed that the entire abortion drama began as simple banter after a troll made a derogatory comment about her on Twitter in an interview with actor Uche Maduagwu.
