In the presidential election that was held on February 25 on Saturday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee, won Enugu State.

According to the results announced by Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, the collation officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state, Obi received 428,640 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, who received 15,749 votes, and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 4,772. Rabiu Kwankwaso, a candidate for the New Nigerian Peoples Party, finished fourth with 1808.
