Ikorodu women vow not to vote next Saturday if they are not paid for voting during the presidential election

Ikorodu women protest unpaid “funds” after supporting the APC in the most recent election, according to a tweet with that description.

Ikorudu won the election, one of the demonstrators who spoke in Yoruba remarked. Why didn’t they offer the canvasser money when he saw that Ikorodu had the most votes?

Ikorodu doesn’t have any effective leaders. We won’t cast our votes in Ikorodu, and the canvasser won’t show up until we show him our money.

The canvasser won’t canvass if we can’t see our money. We won’t vote, and he’ll stay inside. That’s it; we have to check our cash.

This occurs one week before the governor’s race.
