“If you believe I defamed you, sue me” — Pastor Tayo dares Tope Alabi, others over claims about Toluwanisings’ d3ath

Canada-based pastor Tayo has challenged gospel singer Tope Alabi and other personalities she mentioned in connection with the d3ath of gospel singer Toluwanisings to take legal action against her if they believe her statements were defamatory.

In a video circulating on Facebook, the pastor maintained that she was prepared to defend her statements in court. She also said she would pursue legal action against anyone who defamed her.

Pastor Tayo claimed that she received a spiritual revelation concerning the d3ath of Toluwanisings, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji.

According to her, she saw four popular personalities whom she described as occultic figures in the alleged revelation.

She identified the individuals as gospel singer Tope Alabi, Wole Agba, Wole Arole and Dele Omo Wole.

The pastor further alleged that the four personalities were responsible for the singer’s d3ath and claimed that he had been targeted because of his glory.

She described those she allegedly saw in the revelation as “wolves in sheep clothing” and called on them to leave the church and stop harming Christians.

However, she did not provide verifiable evidence to substantiate the allegations, which remain unproven.

Pastor Tayo also appealed to Pastor Enoch Adeboye to investigate the matter and act on her claims, insisting that the individuals she named should be removed from the church.

Her statements have drawn attention because they directly link identifiable public figures to serious allegations surrounding the d3ath of another person without presenting verifiable evidence.

The controversy comes after Tope Alabi reportedly issued a cease-and-desist notice through her legal representatives over social media posts allegedly linking her to Toluwanisings’ death.

According to reports, the notice, dated October 24, 2026, demanded that Pastor Tayo remove the allegedly defamatory posts, issue an unconditional retraction and publish a public apology within 24 hours.

The singer’s legal team reportedly maintained that no police investigation, court ruling or official finding had established any connection between Alabi and the singer’s d3ath.

Alabi also shared the letter on Instagram and tagged the Nigeria Police Force, warning that she would pursue available legal remedies if the demands were not met.

Toluwanisings, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, reportedly d!ed on October 14, 2026, at the age of 34.

The allegations made by Pastor Tayo against the four named personalities have not been substantiated, and no evidence presented in the account establishes their involvement in the singer’s d3ath.

The dispute has raised concerns about the consequences of making serious public allegations without verifiable evidence, particularly when such claims involve identifiable individuals and a reported d3ath.
