
Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has revealed information about his modest upbringing, including the fact that he used to work at an Ikorodu factory packaging goods for a business owned by Aliko Dangote.
In an interview with Echo Room, the musician revealed that he had no other source of income and made ₦20,000 a month at the time.
He noted that life was difficult at the time and characterized the experience as difficult.
Despite the challenges, Bella Shmurda considered the work as a part of his journey and claimed that it helped to mold his outlook and personal development.

Bella Shmurda: “I went to work in Ikorodu at Dangote’s company as of those that package indomie.”
Interviewer: “How much were you making?”
Bella Shmurda: “I was making 20K per month.”
Interviewer: “N20K per month – were you making any other money by the side?”
Bella Shmurda: “No o, it was just that 20K o. It is all good though, it was an experience for me.”
Interviewer: “Was it all good at that time?”
Bella Shmurda: “It was not all good oh, if it were all good I wouldn’t go to the factory na. But it is all good. Those are things that I just remember now”.
