Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a well-known television personality, has questioned how much money banks make from unsuccessful or unreversed transactions.
The Big Brother Naija host wondered how much money banks made from unsuccessful transactions that were never reversed on his Twitter page.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) said last year that commercial banks reimbursed N89.2 billion to clients over a variety of financial-related complaints from 2012 to June 2021, according to the report.
However, activist Taiwo Akitobi from Lagos described how a bank took three years to repay him his N58,000 following a failed attempt to purchase an airline ticket.
Akitobi mentioned that he had tried to buy a plane ticket through the bank app in August 2019, but the transaction had failed.
