Popular clergyman and founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has shared a WhatsApp message he received amid growing concerns over insecurity.
In a Facebook post, the cleric addressed a message sent by an individual regarding one of his schools in Nasarawa State.
According to the sender, reports of kidnappers allegedly operating in the area caused widespread panic among residents.
Amid the concerns, some parents reportedly rushed to the school to pick up their children, prompting authorities to send pupils home and advise them to return on Monday if the security situation improves.
Reacting to the development, Apostle Chinyere expressed sadness over the situation and announced that OPM’s free schools in Northern Nigeria would be temporarily closed until it is considered safe for students and staff to return.
“So with pains in my heart, I HRM KING APOSTLE CHIBUZOR GIFT CHINYERE is shutting down temporarily all OPM free schools in the northern part of Nigeria until the security situation improves.
I know it is painful, but the life of this children are more important”,
He stated.
