Nigerian singer Johnny Drille has revealed that he met his wife through Mavins and credited music executive Don Jazzy and the record label for bringing them together.
The singer made this known in a recent interview while speaking about his relationship and marriage to his longtime partner, which he kept private for several years.
Johnny Drille disclosed that he started dating his wife in November or December 2018, but the relationship was not made public until July 2023. By the time fans learned about their romance, the couple were already legally married.
“I met my wife at Mavins.
“I think about it now and how much work we had to put into keeping it under wraps for so long. We started dating in November/December 2018, and the rest of the world got to know in July 2023. And that’s probably five years after, and by then, we had already gotten married. It wasn’t easy keeping it under wraps, but I am grateful”.
His revelation has sparked reactions from fans on social media, with many joking that his love songs during his time at Mavins were inspired by his relationship.
