A Nigerian woman has responded to criticism and alleged th√eats she received after posting a video warning a UK-based Nigerian man, Michael, about claims concerning his girlfriend, Tolani.
The woman had alleged in the earlier video that Tolani was pregnant for another man and was allegedly planning to make Michael believe he was the father.
Following the backlash, she explained that her intention was specifically to ensure Michael saw the video and became aware of the situation she was alleging.
According to her, however, several women subsequently att@cked her through direct messages, accusing her of being “u.gly, j3alous, p@triarchal and m!sogynistic” for speaking publicly about the matter.
She also claimed that some people questioned her loyalty to women, accusing her of not being a “girls’ girl.”
In her words:
“I’m making this video to address the people coming for me, calling me u.gly, j3alous, p@triarchal and m!sogynistic, just because of the video I made about Michael and Tolani. I made that video for Michael to see. That was the intention of the video. But a lot of ladies have been att@cking me and th√eatening me in my DM for outing Tolani, saying I’m not a ‘girls’ girl.’”
Woman stands by reason for making video
The woman maintained that her primary objective was to bring the alleged situation to Michael’s attention rather than to att@ck Tolani or target women generally.
Her response has further fueled discussion online about whether individuals should publicly expose alleged relationship issues involving other people, particularly when the claims have not been independently verified.
The pregnancy and paternity allegations involving Tolani remain unverified based on the information provided, and no response from Michael or Tolani was included in the account.
