Nigerian Afrobeats singer Omah Lay has opened up about his struggle to quit sm0king, revealing that after several unsuccessful attempts, he has stopped forcing himself to give up the habit.

The “Soso” crooner made the revelation during a recent podcast interview with DJ Dan, where he discussed his repeated efforts to stop sm0king.

Omah Lay Says He Has Accepted His Habit

According to the singer, he has tried several times to quit but found it difficult to maintain the decision. He said he has now accepted that sm0king is part of his lifestyle and believes he should simply enjoy his life.

Omah Lay also explained that sm0king gives him what he described as “artificial happiness” and a sense of rebellion because cannabis is illegal in Nigeria.

“I love sm0king a lot. I tried to stop, I forced myself but I can’t. Honestly bro, life is just one. I am going to just d!e one day. We are all going to d!e one day. So what’s the essence of forcing myself to stop sm0king?

I just want to be at peace and sm0ke my w33d. And the fact that it is illegal in Nigeria, it give me artificial happiness and a sense of rebellion. This is it. This is my life. I will just live it. I will enjoy every single thing that I have,” he said.
