“I don’t want to share my…” — Man reveals 5 reasons why he doesn’t want to have children

A guy has caused extensive debate on social media by describing why he has decided not to have children, citing two selfish and three selfless reasons.

In the viral video, he explained that his choice was motivated by financial considerations, personal constraints, life’s uncertainties, the status of the globe, and the health dangers connected with pregnancy.

The speaker began by conceding that the first two reasons were selfish.

He stated that he did not want the long-term financial commitment of having a child.

I’m going to give you five reasons why I don’t want to have children. Two of them are selfish, three of them are selfless.”

He added: “Number one, I don’t want to share my money. When you have a child you’re locked into a financial commitment for at least 20 years and that does not sound like a good time.”

He also stated that he couldn’t guarantee unconditional affection for every child.

Number two, I might not like the child. I don’t have the capacity for unconditional love… I don’t want someone I don’t like living in my house.”

Moving on to what he saw as his unselfish motives, the guy contended that no parent could be guaranteed that they would be alive, healthy, or financially secure long enough to raise their child correctly.

He stated that children frequently suffer when parents are unable to perform their responsibilities.

He also expressed concern about the world’s current status, claiming that it was unsuitable for raising children.

He believes that he would rather protect a child from life’s difficulties than intentionally expose them to them.

Finally, he mentioned the health concerns of pregnancy, saying he couldn’t justify placing a lady in such danger solely to fulfil a personal desire to have biological children.

He concluded: “Pregnancies are absolutely dangerous… my egocentric desire to replicate myself is not sufficient reason for me to put anyone in that kind of danger. I simply cannot justify bringing children into this world.”
