A Nigerian woman has recounted a disturbing dating experience after discovering that a man she had been seeing allegedly misrepresented his marital status.
She explained that things initially seemed to be progressing well between them until she found out he was already married, a revelation that immediately changed how she viewed the relationship.
In her words, she said:
“So there’s this guy I met, we exchanged contacts and started talking. We went on dates, it was going well. I told him about my business and he said he was going to support me.
Later, I found out that he was married. I confronted him, and he denied it. That was already a turn-off for me.”
Despite her concerns, she agreed to meet him again after he invited her out. However, she said the outing took an unexpected turn when, instead of going to a restaurant, he allegedly took her to a hotel.
According to her account, the man then made advances toward her and repeatedly promised financial support, leaving her shocked and uncomfortable with the situation.
“He told me we were going to a restaurant, but when we got there, it was a hotel. I asked him what we were doing there, and he said he didn’t feel like going out again.
I asked him, ‘What are we doing here if you haven’t done the things you promised me?’ He sent me ₦7 million for my business. After that, I told him I wanted to get something downstairs, and that was how I left the hotel and blocked him.”
