Many of Teni’s fans were shocked last year when she stepped out looking trimmer. Teni used to be on the larger side. On December 31, 2022, Teni posted a video on social media in which she said she had made the decision to lose weight in order to be healthier.

Big-time actress Monalisa Stephen chastised Teni on Instagram Stories for her justification for starting a weight loss programme. Teni’s remark, in Monalisa’s opinion, was intended to drag obese people, she said.
