“He lost consciousness twice” – Nigerian-British businessman passes away after penis enlargement procedure in Thailand

Igho Ubiribo, a 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman and social media celebrity, passed away as a result of complications from a penis enlargement treatment he had while on vacation in Thailand with his spouse.

According to reports, Ubiribo passed away in March following an injection in a Bangkok clinic that contained 40 millilitres of lidocaine and hyaluronic acid.

The Daily Mail said that information about his death surfaced during an inquiry at Inner West London Coroners’ Court.

Following the treatment, Ubiribo reportedly experienced chest pain and lost consciousness twice while getting a massage with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.

He was then taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where medical professionals determined that he had a pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal illness in which a blood clot obstructs blood flow in the lungs.

According to reports, the businessman passed out once more before medical professionals could conduct a suggested CT scan.

He passed away in the early hours of March 6 despite medical staff’s more than 100-minute attempts to revive him.

According to a postmortem examination conducted in the UK, Ubiribo’s lungs had cellular material that matched the hyaluronic acid utilised in the penile filler operation.

The results confirmed the diagnosis that he had a pulmonary embolism after the injection.

Ubiribo’s death was later determined by coroner Jean Harkin to be “the result of a cosmetic procedure abroad.”

A pulmonary embolism brought on by the hyaluronic acid injection into his penis was listed as his cause of death.

In May, Ubiribo, who apparently had 185,000 Instagram followers, was buried in London.

Davido, a Nigerian musician, and other notable individuals attended his funeral.

The tragedy has brought the possible dangers of penile filler treatments back into the spotlight.

Professor Vaibhav Modgil, an NHS andrology specialist and consultant urological surgeon, reportedly warned that complications from such procedures could have devastating consequences for patients.
