A video circulating on the social media site X (previously Twitter) has sparked debate after a medical expert expressed a controversial viewpoint on intimacy during illness.
In the viral video, the doctor suggests that indulging in sexual activity while sick might be good, even speeding up recovery.
In his words, read what the doctor said below;
“Don’t let anyone deceive you having sex when you are sick is very very healthy. As a matter of fact it can even fast track healing which means it can make you get better so quick.”
He went on to explain that during sexual activity, the body produces specific compounds that, he feels, can aid enhance health.
According to him, “Because there are certain things called endorphins that are being released and these things can relieve you from certain kind of inflammations.”
The doctor also stated that his advice might not apply to everyone, particularly those who are not in partnerships.
He added, “I know those people that are single will not relate to what i’m saying but if you’re not single please do well to try this and you’ll see the outcome i’ll see you next time.”
