Gov polls: If they give money, collect but vote your candidate – President Buhari advices Nigerians as he casts his vote (photos)

According to reports, President Buhari has recommended Nigerians to keep any money provided to them by politicians to sway their votes before casting their ballots for the candidate of their choice.

The President reportedly said this after casting his ballot at Daura, Katsina State’s polling place 003, Sarkin Yara A.

After casting his ballot, the president spoke briefly with reporters in both English and Hausa, stating that his administration has been preaching against vote-buying and the monetization of politics and urging lawmakers to abstain from such actions.

“If they (politicians) still give you money, collect, but vote for your preferred candidates,”President Buhari said
