Deji Adeyanju has denounced religious leaders who urge their followers to cast ballots based on their beliefs and ancestry.
The sociopolitical activist argued that Nigerians must resist the temptation to vote for candidates based solely on their religion or ethnicity.
He notably denounced the statements made by a Muslim preacher in Kano as he urged Muslims to support Tinubu/Shettima.
He continued by saying that the behaviour of the priest is no different from pastors urging their congregations to support a particular candidate because it is God’s desire.
“God has no business with Nigerian thieving politicians,” Deji concluded.
