Actress Lizzy Anjorin Lawal has reignited her long-running feud with colleague Iyabo Ojo, criticizing her attendance at the wedding of music executive Soso Soberekon in Warri, Delta State.
Iyabo Ojo attended the star-studded ceremony on Saturday, July 25, alongside her daughter, Priscilla Mkambala.
In a video shared on social media, Lizzy alleged that the private jet Iyabo and her daughter appeared in before the trip never left Lagos, claiming they merely posed inside the aircraft to impress social media users.
She also questioned Iyabo’s reason for attending the event, alleging that it was motivated by financial gain.
“You travelled for a party, just because you needed donations, just because you are broke and poor; that is why you have to travel with your daughter to the party. How many of them went to that party with their children?” Lizzy said.
Responding to a follower who suggested she was only criticizing Iyabo because she was not invited to the wedding, Lizzy dismissed the claim, insisting she is more focused on business than social events.
“I am not a party person. I am a business person per excellence. If you see me at your party, you do not know what has done for you. That is why when I am hosting a party, I do not expect much from people. I don’t prepare for a crowd. The quality people might be just five or ten.”
She added:
“Must you go to that party, Iyabo Ojo? Go and get a job!”
As of the time of this report, Iyabo Ojo has not publicly responded to Lizzy Anjorin’s remarks.
