Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour reacts as Lagos state govt denies reports state funds were used to pay Gov Sanwo-Olu’s lawyers at the election tribunal

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, GRV, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor of Lagos state in the March 18 election, has responded to the state government’s statement refuting accusations that public funds were utilized to pay Governor Sanwo-Olu’s attorneys before the electoral tribunal.

Using his X account, Gbadebo had denounced the state government for allegedly paying attorneys who defended Sanwo-Olu before the state electoral tribunal with public monies. Read this.

Gbenga Omotoso, the state commissioner for information and strategy, then issued a statement refuting the report. Omotoso stated that the accusation is untrue.

Gbadebo in his reaction to the state government’s statement, shared a song by Femi Kuti saying ‘’them bobo una” which in local parlance means ‘’They deceive you people.”
