On Saturday, May 20, 2023, the Eko Hotel hosted the 9th annual AMVCA ceremony, which honored African film industry talent.

In elegant and stunning attire, a large number of celebrities attended the event. Banky W and Adesua Etomi, who are adored and are known for their gorgeous red carpet displays, were conspicuously absent.

Days after the occasion, Banky W released pictures of himself and his wife, Adesua Etomi, wearing identical khaki attire on his Instagram page and said that he saw his wife as his prize.

“Although I didn’t get to attend the #AMVCA’s, I already have my award #AndTheWinnerIs #LifetimeAchievementAward #CongratsToTheWinners #AMVCA2023 #AndTheWinnerIsLove.” He captioned the photos.

According to Banky W’s statement, even though he wasn’t there at the AMVCA, he still views himself as a winner after receiving a lifetime achievement award in the field of love.
