Farmers receive 5,000 bags of fertilizer to start Planting for Food and Jobs

Persons interested in government’s Planting for Food and Jobs policy have been supplied with farm inputs and other farming equipment in the Ashanti Region.

In accordance with their Corporate Social Responsibility, the Agricultural Manufacturing Group Limited (AMGL) donated the five thousand bags of fertilizers to beneficiaries at Manhyia Palace during the recent Asantehene’s 20th anniversary on the throne.

“As we continues to give support to the government’s flagship program Planting for Food and Jobs, we are taken such a decision to make it more fruitful”, General Manager of AMGL Mr. Henry Otoo-Mensah explained.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture has targeted 1 million farmers to benefit from subsidized fertilizer in its Planting for Food and Jobs program in 2019.
