Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, has drawn criticism for his verbal assault on Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, a Labour Party (LP) candidate for governor of Lagos State (GRV).
As a result of Rhodes-support Vivour’s for the Igbo, it was claimed that Fani-Kayode had stated in a series of tweets that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would not permit him to become the governor of Lagos.
On Monday, Fani-Kayode accused Rhodes-Vivour of participating in the crowd that set buses on fire as part of the Endsars protests in a series of tweets posted via his Twitter account.
According to the APC leader, the LP governorship candidate was one of those who betrayed his own Yoruba people and plotted to give Lagos to the Igbos.
According to him, some Igbos were subjected to torture in the Southeast during the presidential election due to their support for Bola Tinubu.
Fani-Kayode, however, confirmed that Rhodes-Vivoiur is from one of the oldest and most distinguished indigenous families of Lagos state.
However, some netizens have slammed the APC stalwart over his attack on the LP governorship and linking him with the destruction of properties in the state during the EndSars protest.
