Dead woman’s body found eaten by her 5 dogs after neighbours noticed bad smell in her home

Following complaints about a “bad smell,” a woman’s dead body was discovered in her home, having been eaten by dogs.

Police were called to a residence in Santa Rosa, Argentina’s Airport neighbourhood after neighbours complained about a “nauseous smell” emanating from the home for a week.

On December 31, when they entered the house, they found Ana Inés de Marotte’s body, which her five dogs had devoured in part.

The 67-year-old woman was reported “disappeared” during the second week of December, but she was later discovered in the Santa Rosa Sanatorium and freed that same day, according to the Infopico website.

She had gone to the Santa Rosa Sanatorium to treat a medical condition and she had been admitted without having relatives in the city.

Following her discharge, Marotte returned to her home and was found dead a week later with her dogs trapped in the house with her.
