Davido, a legendary singer, has broken a record on the music streaming service Boomplay after his new album, “Timeless,” received more than a million streams in the first six hours of its release.
The eagerly awaited 17-track album, which was published at midnight on March 31, 2023, defeated numerous other albums to take the top spot on Apple Music’s charts for Nigeria, the UK, and several other nations.
It also broke the record for being the only album right now to reach a million streams six hours after its Boomplay release.
Davido has described the transition from his most recent album, Timeless, to his prior album, A Better Time, as a whirlwind after the song’s release.
“At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,” he wrote in part.
