A record was broken on the music streaming service Boomplay by popular rapper Davido when his song received more than a million streams in the first six hours of its release.
On March 31, 2023, at midnight, the eagerly awaited 17-track album was released. It quickly shot to the top of the charts on Apple Music in Nigeria, the UK, and a number of other nations.
It broke another another record six hours after its Boomplay debut when it became the first album to exceed the million stream mark.
Davido described the transition from his most recent album, Timeless, to his earlier album, A Better Time, as a whirlwind when the song was released.
“At long last – WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least,” he wrote in part.
