David Beckham set to be honoured with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

David Beckham is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recognizing both his illustrious football career and his influence in sports and entertainment.

According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Beckham will be honored on June 12 and will receive the 2,849th star in the Sports Entertainment category.

The ceremony is expected to feature appearances by Tom Cruise and Beckham’s wife, Victoria Beckham, who will take part in presenting the award.

Ana Martinez of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said the recognition comes at a significant time as the United States prepares to host the FIFA World Cup. She noted that Beckham played a major role in raising the profile of soccer in America and has had a lasting impact on sports, entertainment, and global culture.

During his distinguished playing career, Beckham represented some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy, and Paris Saint-Germain.

He retired from professional football in 2013 and remains widely recognized as one of the sport’s most influential figures. Beckham is also celebrated as the first footballer to win major league titles in four different countries, further cementing his legacy in the game.
