Maradun was shot in the early hours of Wednesday, February 23 when bandits broke into his home in Rigachikun Community, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna.

In the attack, six people were kidnapped, including a bride-to-be. M.A Magaji, the FOU’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), verified the victim’s death and stated that his body would be carried to his native state of Zamfara for burial later on Thursday, February 24.
