A medical issue caused a setback for Kenyan chef Maliha Mohammed, who was trying to beat the record for the longest cooking marathon.

Maliha set off on November 15 to beat the record of 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds, and she has been updating her followers on her journey ever since.
Her quest to break the current Guinness World record held by Alan Fisher (Ireland) took an unexpected turn when she passed the 111-hour mark due to a medical emergency.
According to reports, Maliha went unconscious and was taken on a stretcher by medical personnel.
Despite the setback, she conveyed her determination that the emergency would not signal the end of the cooking marathon.
“I am a conqueror and a marathon runner. Nothing is bringing us down; to the finish line, we go,” she wrote.
