CAN BLASTED FOR IGNORING CATHOLIC PRIEST THAT WAS ATTACKED BY IPOB

The Christian Associations of Nigerian (CAN) has been lambasted for the nonchalant attitudes the body has exhibited over a Catholic priest who was attacked on Thursday at the popular IBETO Junction in Nnewi, Anambra state, for disobeying the Sit-At-Home order issued by the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB.

Recall that suspected members of the secessionist group, IPOB had attacked the preiest, identified as Rev. Fr. Festus Eziamaka, because opted to attend a church service, rather than obey the “Sit at home instruction” ordered by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the group. He is currently receiving treatment at Nnewi Teaching Hospital due to the heavily sustained injuries during the attack.

Facebook user, Gozicon Chigozirim Emeakayi, who has brought attention to this perceived negligence took to his Facebook Page to write the following;

Of course we would have protested against this wickedness if it happened in places like Jos, Sokoto, Bauchi, Ibadan, Abieokuta etc. But it happened right here in the East, so no one cares because the Rev. Fr. Actually deserved the beating and assault for not obeying a law posed by bunch of street hookers and ignorant touts.

Are we still talking about taking over this country in 2023? That’s actually one of the most funniest joke ever. We are far away from reasoning like human beings.

So what stops our elders from scolding and punishing the youths responsible for this? So what stops our Pastors from flooding the streets and protesting against this evil act that nearly cost this man his life.

We claim the Federal Government made a mistake by proscribing us and labeling us Terrorists but we always end up acting like one and proving them right. It’s quite obvious that our Igbo leaders are enjoying this show of shame with all comfortability.

I hope the REV. Fr. Survives this, but I’m still on my stance and will never stop saying that Ohaneze Ndigbo and Christians Association of Nigeria are real enemies of Ndigbo. They are toiling with our feature, they are greedy scums, they love to see Igbo youths storm into mistakes and mischievous situations, they love to hide under the umbrella of tribal and religious Vendatta to achieve their evil ambitions.
