Burna Boy, a singer, breaks his silence after Davido called him a “new cat.”

Burna Boy posted images from his record-breaking London gig on his Instagram feed while it was all the rage.

Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning singer from Nigeria, appears to have reacted to Davido’s description of him as a “new cat.”

The 30BG boss made waves online on Thursday when, in an interview, he referred to Burna Boy as a new cat, a word that many associate with upcoming musicians.

Before singers like “Burna Boy, Rema, and Asake,” whom he referred to as “new cats,” hit the scene, Davido claimed that he and Wizkid were the pioneer musicians who opened the path for the recognition and success of Afrobeat music on a global scale.

“Everybody knows that I was one of the first, along with Wizkid, to blow up. It feels good to see the new cats coming up, like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Asake, and Mayorkun,” he said.

Burna Boy didn’t seem perturbed even though the term “new cat” triggered a discussion about the variety of stars in the Nigerian music industry on social media.

Burna Boy posted images from his record-breaking London gig on his Instagram feed while it was all the rage. He stated that he wants to make an impact that will last forever in the caption.

“Uniting people from all walks of life has always been my dream. London, thank you for making it possible for me at my biggest show to date! Shout out to my family @theuglygram @santandave @popcaanmusic and Stormzy  We’re Leaving an Impact for Eternity. Love, Damini.” He wrote.

Fans and followers have responded to Burna’s message, which they believe is a response to Davido’s “new cat” remark.
