A smart Nigerian woman named Nzube Egboluche was able to pursue her ambition of going to college in the United States in 2015 because to the MasterCard Scholarships.
Nzube earned a bachelor’s degree in soil science from the University of Nigeria Nsukka in South-East Nigeria and graduated as the department’s top student.
Following the receipt of MasterCard Scholarships to assist with the cost of her two-year Master’s program in Crop and Soil Sciences, Nzube applied for admission to Michigan State University in the United States. She was subsequently accepted.
In a Linkedin article, Nzube discussed how she made use of opportunities that came her way to achieve her American objective, which included enrolling in a PhD program. She said the scholarship she had won had given her access to a world of fantastic opportunities.
“I started working towards achieving my American dreams which included obtaining a Phd degree the very first day I started classes. I utilized as many opportunities that came my way during my master’s program to prepare myself for the doctoral program,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
When pursuing her degree, she acknowledged that she ran into several obstacles, but she persisted and persevered until she completed the course.
“During this period, I went through a roller coaster of different kinds of emotions- frustration, anger, stress, and excitement. I almost gave up at some point but the will and drive to complete my program and obtain my PhD degree was greater than the challenges I encountered.” she added.
