Anthony Joshua regrets his missed knockout attempt as he defeats Jermaine Franklin by unanimous decision.

In front of a home crowd at the 02 Arena, Anthony Joshua prevailed in this non-title bout after 12 rounds with scores of 118-111, 117-111, and 117-111.

Anthony Joshua won his first fight since 2020 by defeating Jermaine Franklin on Saturday in London.

Joshua had lost back-to-back world title fights to Oleksandr Usyk in his previous two encounters.

After a difficult period in the ring, Joshua was making his return to the ring after losing his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk last year. He needed to win to revive his heavyweight career.

With a win, “AJ” hoped to resurrect a world title challenge and pave the way for megafights with stars like Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.

Joshua attempted to raise his hand, but the hardy American who was engaging the British man from a distance pulled it away. Due to the animosity between the two sides, the fight had been chaotic at the buzzer, but Joshua had prevailed thanks to scores of 118-111, 117-111, and 117-111 in his favor.
