Seven days after the crash, every victim from the missing Indonesian plane that went down in the South Sulawesi province’s Mount Bulusaraung area has been located.
The last body was found on Friday morning, according to Andi Sultan, a representative of the National Search and Rescue Agency’s Makassar office, as reported by Detik News.
He claims that earlier this week, rescue personnel searching the slopes of Mount Bulusarong on Sulawesi island found eight of the dead. This morning, two more were discovered.
The aircraft was transporting representatives from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries who were conducting an aerial resource surveillance mission.
Only two victims have been identified thus far: Deden Maulana and Florencia Lolita, a member of the cabin crew.
On Saturday, while traveling from Yogyakarta to Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi, Indonesia Air Transport’s ATR 42-500 aircraft lost contact in the Maros district.
Debris from the plane was found on Sunday. The aircraft was carrying 10 people, including seven crew members and three passengers.
The plane’s black box was recovered from the crash site by the joint search and rescue team.
