Despite the purported increase in security in most part of the country, Gunmen has kidnapped a traditional ruler, Oluode of Ibokun, Chief Amusa Dunsin, and one other person in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.

The incident comes barely 24 hours after two officials of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were abducted at Iwaraja axis of Ilesa/Akure Expressway.

Reports say the victims were heading towards Ilare from Esa Odo when they were abducted at gun point.

The monarch and a lady simply identified as Tayo and three others were said to be in the vehicle when they were stopped by the gunmen.

The gunmen whisked away the traditional ruler and the lady while the other three passengers scampered for safety.

Osun police spokesperson, Folashade Isoro, has confirmed the incident. She said efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims.
