A Kwara native recently released by robbers reported that the king died, despite the community paying a large ransom.
According to the source, the ruler was kidnapped around a month ago by suspected kidnappers, who then initiated talks with community representatives.
The captors apparently received a ransom package including ₦21 million in cash, two new motorcycles, and a jerrycan of petrol before the fatal event.
“The traditional ruler of Olayinka in Ifelodun Local Government Area was killed by his abductors despite the ransom payment made by the community,”
According to the accounts of a victim recently released by kidnappers in Sagbe, Kwara State, the Olayinka monarch died while in captivity.
