A$AP Rocky is making headlines after finally addressing hit song “Burning Bridges,” off Drake’s “ICEMAN” album during a candid interview, shutting down speculation surrounding the diss track and responding directly to comments involving Rihanna.
Although fans have spent years dissecting every lyrical jab exchanged between the rappers, A$AP Rocky made it clear that the jabs on the song is not something he intends to lose sleep over. Instead, the Harlem rapper suggested that the conversation has become more about internet drama than real-life conflict.
The latest chapter in the feud began after Drake released “ICEMAN,” with “Burning Bridges” immediately drawing attention for lyrics aimed at A$AP Rocky and references to Rihanna. One particular line questioned whether Rihanna had even supported Rocky’s music, quickly becoming one of the album’s most talked-about moments.
Appearing on “The Jason Lee Show,” A$AP Rocky dismissed Drake’s diss with a brief but direct response.
“That’s stup*d. She posted my album,” Rocky said, rejecting the suggestion that Rihanna had failed to support his latest project.
Rather than escalating the situation, Rocky appeared more puzzled than angry. He questioned why people continue to revisit the feud when, in his view, everyone involved has already moved forward.
According to Rocky, social media has played a major role in keeping the narrative alive through what he described as “internet antics” and smear campaigns. He argued that online speculation often creates unnecessary drama that extends conflicts long after the artists themselves have moved on.
Rihanna has frequently found herself mentioned whenever Drake and Rocky’s relationship becomes a topic, largely because of her highly publicized on-and-off romance with Drake between 2009 and 2016 and her current relationship with Rocky.
Responding to claims raised in Drake’s “Burning Bridges,” A$AP Rocky explained that Rihanna had already shown support for his album, making the criticism meaningless in his eyes.
He also suggested there would have been criticism regardless of what happened. If Rihanna had heavily promoted the project and it performed well commercially, critics would likely accuse him of relying on her celebrity influence to boost sales.
Rocky’s comments reflected his belief that public expectations surrounding celebrity couples can become impossible to satisfy, especially when every social media post becomes headline material.
One of the strongest themes throughout Rocky’s interview was his insistence that the feud has become outdated.
He described it as “weird” that he and Rihanna have continued with their lives while people remain fixated on old relationships and previous disagreements. Rather than fueling another round of diss records, Rocky suggested the public should stop giving so much attention to personal drama.
His comments also align with previous interviews in which he admitted that his friendship with Drake had effectively ended. Earlier this year, Rocky indicated he had no interest in repairing the relationship, signaling that he has already accepted where things stand.
