Chiduziem Ukaegbu, a 34-year-old Nigerian national, was detained by police for staying in Goa, India, without authorization.
On January 28, 2023, the accused was picked up by Anjuna police from his home in Siolim.
Jivba Dalvi, the Mapusa SDPO, claims that police were tipped off about the foreign national’s residence in Siolim.
“During investigation we discovered the Nigerian was residing without a legitimate passport,” said Dalvi.
A FIR was filed under sections 7 and 14 of the Foreigners Act, and the culprit has been detained.
A second investigation is being conducted by Prashal Dessai and Anjuna Pi.
