The state governorship election has been declared won by Pastor Umo Eno, a candidate for governor from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State.

According to statistics tabulated by INEC, Eno polled a total of 356,348 votes to defeat Bassey Albert of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), who placed second with 136,262 votes. With 129,602 votes, Akan Udofia of the All Progressives Congress finished third.
