Suspected female armed robber and accomplices allegedly snatch motorcycle at gunpoint in Delta

Three alleged armed robbers have been detained by Delta State Police Command agents, who have also recovered one English pistol from their hands.

According to DSP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesperson, the suspects, including a woman named Esther Nwoko, kidnapped a victim’s motorcycle in Issele-Uku while holding them at gunpoint.

“A resident of Onicha-Uku reported a case of a suspected stolen unregistered motorcycle at the Isseluku-Uku Police Station on August 25, 2022, about 8:00 a.m. The DPO Issele-Uku sent detectives to look into the incident based on the strength of the complaint. An intelligence driven inquiry culminated to the arrest of the key suspect, Iyegbunuwe Oluchukwu ‘m’ of Issele-Uku,” the release added.

“The suspect led the detectives to their hideout at Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North LGA, where two other suspects, one Okwudili Ozah ‘m’ and Esther Nwoko ‘f’, were arrested and One (1) English revolver pistol, fifteen (15) rounds of live ammunition, and six (6) expended ammunition were recovered

“Suspects allegedly stole the motorcycle at gun point and it’s suspected to be in the possession of one of their accomplice Chidinma Nwoko ‘m’, the husband to Esther Nwoko. Effort is on to arrest the other members of the gang.”
