Chris Eluemuno, a former chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Anambra State, has expressed optimism that the presidential election will end in favor of the candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi. This is due to the fact that the electoral reform implemented by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has made it virtually impossible to rig the election. The general elections aren’t scheduled to take place until 2023.
According to him, Obi is favored to win the election despite the fact that there will be no room for rigging the election as a result of the electoral act. This is due to the fact that Nigerians are aware that among all of the presidential candidates who are running for election, only Obi is the one who can bring this country back to the successful part of its history.
Eluemuno, who spoke to newsmen yesterday at his country home in Nkwelle-Ezunaka in the Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, emphasized that with the electronic system of voting, it would be difficult for anybody to try to rig the election, and once it is not rigged, Obi is going to win. Eluemuno was speaking to newsmen at his country home in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Elder Eluemuno served as the Chief Press Secretary to Jim Nwobodo during his time as the civilian governor of Old Anambra State during the Second Republic. He also served as the President-General of his Nkwelle-Ezunaka community at one point in time.
He did, however, warn that if the election was manipulated in any way, whether openly or covertly, the consequences for the nation would be even worse than the situation with EndSARS.
“If they try to rig it, they will see much more than what they witnessed during the protest against EndSARS,” the speaker said. The Nigerian people are headed for a confrontation if the man of the people is prevented from winning.
