Nigerians in Dubai ask the government for assistance after being deported in bulk

Following their deportation from the United Arab Emirates, some Nigerian nationals living in Dubai have appealed to the Nigerian government for assistance.

The internet is currently flooded with videos of persons involved in the mass deportation exercise and their belongings.

In one of the recordings, a Nigerian woman who spoke out against the Nigerian embassy in Dubai for not standing up for Nigerian citizens in the proceedings.

They have yet to meet anyone, therefore she enquired as to whether there was an operational embassy or an active ambassador in the nation.

She further disclosed that several deported Nigerians with legal passports from other countries were given passes by Dubai officials and are currently awaiting flights to return them to Nigeria.

Those without a current passport must continue wait for a temporary pass from the Nigerian embassy, which doesn’t appear to be functioning.
