Kogi Deputy Governor’s media aide mocks FG for procuring Land Cruisers for Niger Republic government

Promise Emmanuel, the media advisor to Kogi Deputy Governor, has made fun of the federal government for buying Land Cruisers for the Niger Republic administration while claiming that the purchase is related to security.

Recall that Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, justified the Niger Republic’s purchase of automobiles for N1.145 billion when answering questions during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, August 3.

Ahmed stated that Nigeria must assist its neighbors, particularly its close neighbors, in strengthening their ability to secure their nations in light of our relationship with them.

Promise Emmanuel responded to this in a Facebook post and questioned why the Buhari-led government had not instead purchased gun trucks.

He wrote;

Land Cruisers are now Gun Trucks for fighting insecurity

Following the criticism he faced from members of All Progressives Congress which his principal also belongs to over the post, Emmanuel wrote;

People who are usually Yes Man People always see others as ungrateful. Actually, if you add value, you should also add a voice of reason when things go bad. It is part of value addition.

Kings usually trust sincerity in place of sycophancy. They may not agree with you but they always think these things true, especially the ones who also like progress.

I dont think my boss would be failing and I’d be hailing him to complete failure.
